59 Pepper-a-Salt

Too cheesey?  This was the warm up for the 12x12in below, but I think this one went smoother on my end.  It was one of those in-a-trans till I finished paintings, so when I stepped back I was pleasantly pleased.  First attempt at polka dots.  Carol Marine says the trick with making polka dots believable is to make them the same value as the color they’re sitting on, that way they don’t look like they’re hovering above the fabric.  I’ll continue to work on that.

I tried swinging by the transformer cabinet to work on it this morning before another art lesson today but it was just too drizzly.  Shucks.  Here’s a little progress from yesterday though:
